Cookie Policy
The short version: we set nothing on your device unless you say yes. One advertising cookie, only if you press Accept on the banner — and refusing changes nothing about your claim.
1. What we set, and when
We set nothing on your device unless you say yes first. When you arrive you will see a short banner asking whether we may measure our advertising. Until you press “Accept”, no cookie is set, no advertising tag is loaded, and nothing is sent to Facebook or anyone else.
If you press “Reject”, or simply ignore the banner, that is the end of it. Nothing is set. Rejecting has no effect whatsoever on your claim, how quickly it is dealt with, or how we treat you.
2. The advertising cookie
If you accept, we load the Meta Pixel — advertising software provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It sets a cookie called _fbp and tells Meta that a browser visited this site, and whether a claim was started.
We use it for one thing: to see which of our adverts actually bring people here, so we are not paying for adverts that do not work.

We never send Meta your name, email address, telephone number or signature. What leaves your browser is the fact that a visit or a claim happened, and a reference number so the same claim is not counted twice.
Meta decides for itself what it does with that information. Their Privacy Policy governs that part, not ours.
3. What we use instead of cookies
To carry your answers from step one of the claim form to step two, we use your browser’s session storage. Two things are worth knowing about it:
- it is cleared automatically when you close the tab, and
- it never leaves your device — it is not sent to our servers with any request, unlike a cookie.
Your name, telephone number and email address are sent to us when you press “Continue” at the end of step one — not only when you finish. We explain why, and how to have that deleted, in section 2 of our Privacy Policy. Nothing is sent before you press Continue.
4. Fonts and third parties
The site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. That request tells Google your IP address and browser, as any request to any web server does, but it sets no cookie and we receive nothing from it. If you would rather it did not happen at all, tell us at info@manchesterairportclaims.co.uk — we can self-host the fonts instead.
5. Changing your mind
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it must be as easy to withdraw as it was to give. Clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again on your next visit, so you can answer differently. Or email us at info@manchesterairportclaims.co.uk and we will confirm what to do.
Withdrawing does not undo measurement that already happened before you withdrew, but nothing further will be collected.
If we ever add anything beyond what is described above, we will ask before setting it and update this page first. We will not do it quietly.
